One only need to look at the disaster in Ukraine, or the disaster war in Gaza or any number of other international or domestic disasters to come to the realization that all political lobbying should be abolished now, all lobbying from corporations, all lobbying from unions, all lobbying from activist groups and all lobbying from individuals, all lobbying abolished. Furthermore, all elections should be publicly funded by taxpayer dollars and never by any other corrupting entity including individuals with small donations. Equal time and equal funds for each candidate paid by taxpayer dollars. This will also open elections for ordinary people to run not just wealthy fatcats.

Pay attention only to what President Biden does not to what he says. Don’t be a naive fool who believes everything they hear or see. Then ask this question, “Is President Biden a war criminal who should be tried at the Hague?” Should President Netanyahu also be tried as a war criminal?
The Israeli government is out of control. The Israeli government is illustrating the double standards of the ridiculous American-Rules-Based-Order in which the rules do not apply to the U.S. or its proxies. The Israeli government is undermining American foreign policy and The Israeli government is acting like an immoral, murderous fascist regime. Why is U.S. foreign policy so often on the side of the Nazis and fascists?

“Make no mistake: We are seeing an escalation of the use of military force by Israel on Palestinian civilians, international organizations, and its neighbors. Earlier this week, Israeli killed 11 people outside of the Iranian embassy in Damascus — adding to the mounting death toll of combined Israeli strikes in Syria that also took the lives of over 40 people in Aleppo a few days prior.”
~Just Foreign Policy

“Now the Biden administration is close to approving a massive $18 billion arms deal for Israel that includes 50 F-15 fighter jets, CNN reported on Monday.

The news is the latest sign that the administration still strongly supports Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza despite US officials claiming to be concerned with the massive civilian death toll. Last week, President Biden approved more bomb shipments to Israel and an F-35 deal worth $2.5 billion.”

So don’t let the neoconservative-neofascists or their pseudo-fascist scumbag friends in Israel or some elements of our own military-industrial-complex that owns our political class, drag us into a new treasonous war with Iran. For those who don’t like being compared to fascists or Nazis, I would urge them to stop acting like Nazis or fascists if you don’t like the valid comparison being made. Until then the comparison between the Warsaw Ghetto and the Gaza Ghetto will continue. Take any false, comical accusations of anti-Semitism and promptly shove them up your ass. Don’t make me laugh. Go cry wolf somewhere else. What few Israeli victims exist, who are few and far between I might add, are chiefly the victims of blowback from oppressive, murderous Israeli policy whereas the everyday, persistent victims of Israeli oppression and state-based murder are the Palestinians who sometimes violently rebel against the daily oppression and murder visited upon them by Israel. October 7 was a blowback reaction to oppressive, murderous Israeli policy. Remember, there was a blockade for 17 years prior to October 7 and a blockade is an act of war.

Boycott, divest and sanction the growing pseudo-Fascist State of Israel.

Further, I would argue that every American has a fundamental human right to undermine, subvert, sabotage any future war with Iran up to and including sharing secret military and corporate secrets along with troop deployments with whoever that is necessary to avert war. Patriotism and peacemaking are intertwined. The best way to love your country is to vigilantly oppose feckless, endless war and all the damage it does to our Republic, other nations and peoples and our troops too. Warmongering, the pursuit of endless war, has become synonymous with treason in my view. There is no better to screw over your country and your people except by championing endless, perpetual war. So do what you can to undermine and subvert the American Imperialist war effort because doing that is what best for America. Yes, American first, not war first. Peace is patriotic.
Wage peace and persevere!!!

“Benjamin Netanyahu may have been angry the U.S. refused to veto the ceasefire resolution in the U.N. Security Council this week, but he will still use it to prolong the Gaza genocide.”

“For most of the Security Council, the desire to be on the record calling for a stop to the slaughter in Gaza was the main motivation. And it should not be lost that all ten of the non-permanent members of the Council came together to sponsor this resolution. But why did the United States abstain rather than veto the resolution, as it had done to three prior resolutions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza?

The short answer is also the simple one: the U.S. was looking for a way to ease the pressure it is under from both its allies around the world and Democratic voters in the United States. Both groups are boiling with frustration at the Biden administration’s game of paying lip service to the lives of the tens of thousands of Palestinians they have partnered with Israel to murder in Gaza while continuing the flow of weapons to maintain that unabated genocide. “

“To more fully understand the ferocity of Israel’s massacre of the people of the Gaza Strip, it’s perhaps worth considering that on October 7, 2023, the reputedly invincible Israeli Defence Forces and intelligence services were made to look like fools caught sleeping on guard duty. While Hamas’s murder, assault, and kidnapping of noncombatants must be strongly condemned, we should be able to see how humiliating that was for the Israeli government, which brags as much about its awesome power as it does about its allegedly unequaled moral stature.

Israel has blockaded Gaza for 20 years, although the “Jewish state” has controlled it since 1967. Even before that, Israel had committed massacres there in 1956 when Egypt controlled it as a result of the 1948 war. The Oct. 7 terrorists were likely too young to have known anything but life without a future in what had become the Gaza open-air prison. Theoretically and officially, Israel regulates all ingress and egress from the strip: people, food, medical supplies, energy, consumer and producer goods, and building materials. The policy is draconian, intended to keep the 2.3 million Palestinians, half of them children, quiet.”

“It isn’t just that Ukraine’s economy is now more than ten times smaller than Russia’s. The problem runs much deeper. Since the Ukraine crisis started in 2014, Ukraine has ducked opportunities to enact the structural reforms it needs to tackle deep-seated corruption and diversify/strengthen its economy.

Ukraine needed either to set a course towards an economic model that exports and has spare capital to invest, including overseas, or towards an economic model that is comfortable to import and can attract foreign investment to offset the difference. At the moment, Ukraine is neither and it can’t make the cardinal shift while war is raging. Real economic reform in Ukraine has therefore sat in the pending tray for a decade.”

Looking to Trump or to any President for change misses the point completely. The point is that that you, an activist, can lead people to a new way of thinking and if enough people agree with your position the politicians will ultimately follow along because politicians do what is safe not what is right. Activists are leaders while politicians are the ultimate followers. So if you don’t like a politician’s stand on certain issues, then it is incumbent upon you to lead the people in a new direction until a critical mass is achieved and to which politicians will ultimately react and follow along. America — -Love it or Change It, or Change it because you love it.

“In a bizarre, even obtuse, lead editorial on March 31, the Washington Post outlined a scheme for the United States and Israel to “get back on the same page.” The Post editorial suffers from the conventional misperception that ignores today’s fundamentalist and separatist Israel, which is so different from Israel’s long ago standing as a secular and social democratic society that replicated many West European countries. The Post ignores the fact that Ashkenazi Jews from Europe are no longer in control, and the political and social influence of Orthodox Jewry, the Haredim, who play a central role in the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. These misperceptions are apparent throughout the mainstream media.

The key blunder of the Biden administration is to believe that kowtowing to the Netanyahu government and his fundamentalist coalition allows the United States to maintain influence in Israel. There is no better example of the contradictory nature of U.S. policy than the so-called “red line” that Biden has drawn against any Israeli “scorched earth invasion” of Rafah and the recent delivery of weapons that should never be used in an urban environment.”

“Israel bombed a diplomatic building protected under international law when it destroyed Iran’s Consulate in Damascus, Syria today. There is no justification for this. I don’t care if Iran was harboring Adolf Hitler inside the Consulate, this is an egregious crossing of a redline. The United States correctly condemned the fledgling Iranian regimen when “students” stormed the U.S. Embassy in the fall of 1979 and took hostages. Yet, when Israel destroys a diplomatic facility protected by the Geneva Convention, the United States plays dumb. At this point, Iran would be fully justified to launch a massive counter strike on Israel. This was an act of war by Israel.”

“On Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, from 10am to 5pm, at the White House, active-duty Air Force Senior Airman Larry Hebert will begin a hunger strike to highlight the plight of the starving children of Gaza.

He will be at the White House on Monday, April 1, 2024, for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll to remind parents and their children that while they are playing with Easter eggs on the White House lawn, children all over Gaza need eggs to stave off starvation.

Hebert will be at the White House all next week, April 1–7. Beginning Monday, April 8, when Congress returns from recess, he will be outside the houses of the U.S. Congress.

In mid-March, Senior Airman Larry Hebert, age 26, from rural New Hampshire and a member of Veterans For Peace, took authorized leave from his assignment at Naval Station Rota, Spain to participate in demonstrations demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and to visit Congressional offices to press for stopping weapons shipments to Israel, which violate several U.S. laws. “

“The National Security Act of 2024 (H.R. 815) provides funding for the Israeli genocide, the Ukraine proxy war and the provocative arming of Taiwan. Arming Ukraine and Taiwan drives us one step closer to nuclear war. The price tag on H.R. 815 is a whopping $95 billion dollars to be transferred from the pockets of the beleaguered taxpayer to the coffers of the Military Industrial Complex.

H.R 815 was passed by the Senate in February and sent to The House. Fortunately, the bill is stalled in the House, because Speaker Johnson has refused to put it on the floor for a vote. And that is to the good. This ultra-hawkish legislation should be left to die.

BUT there is an attempt to circumvent Speaker Johnson and resuscitate H.R. 815. To do so a parliamentary maneuver called a Discharge Petition has been launched by Rep. James McGovern. If a majority in the House (218 votes) sign the Discharge Petition, then H.R. 815 automatically goes to the floor for a vote without being introduced by the Speaker.

The bottom line is that, in order to stop the nefarious H.R. 815 in its tracks, Discharge Petition №9 must be defeated. And that is a very doable task if the forces opposed to genocide and endless wars mobilize themselves in a focused way.”

“Israel has ended its assault on the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, because there is nothing left to assault. The facility — the largest medical complex in Gaza where hundreds of civilians had been sheltering — is now an empty, unusable, burnt-out husk. Witnesses report hundreds of corpses in and around the complex, with video footage showing human body parts protruding from the earth and bodies with zip ties on their wrists.

Israel is currently doing its usual song and dance where it claims the hospital was a Hamas headquarters and everyone it killed there was a “terrorist”, but at this point the only people buying that schtick are the ones who desperately need to. This was a massacre of profound savagery. It’s as plain as day to anyone who isn’t deeply invested in pretending otherwise.”

“Israel’s warplanes, missiles, drones, tanks, artillery shells and naval guns daily pulverize Gaza — which is only 20 miles long and five miles wide — in a scorched earth campaign unlike anything seen since the war in Vietnam. It has dropped 25,000 tons of explosives — equivalent to two nuclear bombs — on Gaza, many targets selected by Artificial Intelligence. It drops unguided munitions (“dumb bombs”) and 2000-pound “bunker buster” bombs on refugee camps and densely packed urban centers as well as the so-called “safe zones” — 42 percent of Palestinians killed have been in these “safe zones” where they were instructed by Israel to flee. Over 1.7 million Palestinians have been displaced from their homes, forced to find refuge in overcrowded UNRWA shelters, hospital corridors and courtyards, schools, tents or the open air in south Gaza, often living next to fetid pools of raw sewage.”

“Words only diminish our revulsion at the congressional dereliction in enabling President Joe Biden to transfer weapons and share real-time intelligence with Israel to destroy Palestinian civilians in Gaza in violation of multiple laws: the Genocide Convention, the federal prohibition of genocide,18 U.S.C. 1091, the Leahy Amendments, the Declare War Clause of the Constitution, and the statutory restriction on the use of American arms for defensive purposes only.

Why has Congress neglected public hearings to expose and redress these offenses to the rule of law?

Congress should enact a Joint Resolution endorsing a two-state solution featuring a Palestinian state initially administered by a United Nations caretaker mission to organize free and fair elections.”

“Public dissatisfaction with the dictatorial decision-making by the White House and the absence of congressional action is growing rapidly.”

“President Joe Biden has long had a problem with PEACE — as in “cease-fires,” “serious peace negotiations,” and conditioning the transfer or sale of major weapons systems as required by five U.S. criminal statutes. From one side of his mouth, Biden urges futilely Israeli compliance with international law while on the other side he supports the daily shipment of weapons of mass destruction to the Israeli government. These weapons are being used in the genocidal killing of Palestinians in Gaza.

A majority in Congress is even more hawkish and lets Biden do whatever he wants in making war abroad. The cornerstone of our Constitution — the separation of powers — has been demolished in area after area. (See, our open letter of November 28, 2023, to the members of the U.S. Congress)."

“The dismantling of German industry since 2022 is collateral damage in America’s geopolitical war to isolate China, Russia and allied countries whose rising prosperity and self-sufficiency is viewed as an unacceptable challenge to U.S. hegemony. To prepare for what promises to be a long and costly fight, U.S. strategists made a pre-emptive move in 2022 to turn Europe away from its trade and investment relations with Russia. In effect, they asked Germany to commit industrial suicide and become a U.S. dependency. That made Germany the first and most immediate target in America’s New Cold War.”

“Lots of people have been blamed for the frenzy to ban TikTok, from the CIA and FBI, to the mainstream media, to political elites, to AIPAC, to competitors like Facebook. But I blame Congress. They pulled the trigger. Now as we teeter on the abyss of a Steve Mnuchin takeover of TikTok — a development, make no mistake, that would be disastrous for everything from free speech to ownership of such a platform by a capitalist super-predator, to intelligent, rational foreign policy, to those who simply object to his let-them-eat-cake wife — we can thank the intellectual heavyweights on capitol hill who thought it would be a dandy idea to wade into a hopeless morass of hysteria and hokum and to extract from it an absolute monster of congressionally regulated speech.

As Arnaud Bertrand noted on Twitter March 14,Ccongress is stealing TikTok because it is “owned by the Chinese government.” He added: “It’s not, China only has a 1 percent stake in the mother company.” To this, someone else tweeted: “This is exactly how the Nazis forced Jewish owners of companies to sell to German capitalists.” Or, as China’s foreign ministry succinctly summed it up: “This is banditry.””

“In the past, in the interest of building a broad-based movement united for peace and non-interventionism, I have allied with everyone and anyone who also expressed a genuine interest in peacemaking and non-interventionism. This includes past antiwar alliances with everyone from pinkos to proud boys and anyone in between — — both groups I have allied with in the past — -not because I agreed with their ideologies because I don’t agree with either of them — -I do not approve of racism or Marxism, but I united with each solely in the interest of unity for peace and non-interventionism as a national policy. Ideology is not the point, unity is the point. Anyone who doesn’t like that I choose unity over ideology can kiss my mother-loving, big, chubby gay-bear, fat ass. Anyone can talk the talk about unity, but the real principled test is: can you walk the walk? My boots were made for walking, girl !!! <finger-snap with attitude>

Unite, Left and Right against the wars!!!
Wage Peace and Persevere!!!”

-Eric E. Johansson, Veterans for Peace, California

(also, please understand that although I have united with extremist-idealist factions in the past in the interest of unity against war, I am much more of a middle-of-the-road-realist as I think the economic class system represents the civilizational natural order for our species, although the gap between rich and poor should probably be narrowed through aggressive taxation upon corporations and individual persons too. Also, I do not have one racist or hateful bone in my body as my Asian husband, who is of half-Filipino and half-Chinese descent can attest. I don’t hate immigrants; I married one. He, like my Swedish grandfather, emigrated to the United States legally through the legal immigration channels that every person seeking to emigrate to this country should pursue. All those who simply violate the law by jumping the border, thus opting for not following the legal channels to obtain entry into the U.S., should be promptly arrested and deported, and treated more harshly with every repeat offense. Why should the U.S. honor the wishes of those who desire to emigrate if their very first act of entering the country is to first break the law by circumventing the legal guidelines for officially emigrating? One standard for all. Rule of Law. That is not racist, it is respectful of the Rule of Law. Prior to meeting my husband, I was most definitely an equal-opportunity sex lover who gleefully had fabulous sex with members of every race, color and creed — — hundreds of them, mostly men but not exclusively. My husband and I love to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race TV show too. I also play on a fabulous softball team as the pitcher in the very diverse, accepting and welcoming San Francisco Gay Softball League. I share all of this only to illustrate that who I am willing to unite in common cause with, does not in any way represent who I am as a person. Widespread, mass unity against perpetual war, against Empire and against growing national security state oppression is essential to preserve our commonly shared liberty and peace. We are all in this together so let’s get past the immature, ideological bullshit, come together and unite in common cause for our shared future together.)

Unite, Left and Right against the wars!!!

Unite, from pinkos to proud boys and everyone in between against the wars and against the Empire!! If peace is your priority, this should be no problem for you but if ideology is your priority, then the kind of unity I propose could be a problem for you. Drop the ideological bullshit and UNITE!!!

Wage Peace and Persevere!!!

“How could a weak, toothless central government that possessed no military largesse wage war or command a global Empire? It couldn’t, could it? Doesn’t having a smaller, more limited government also get us to a non-Imperialist, non-military interventionist place? Can people unite around non-interventionism alone? Just imagine for a moment the vast people power of a mass movement that could be harnessed by achieving a Left-Right loose alliance against war and Empire. Oh, the immense power it would wield.”
~Eric E. Johansson

(Is it arrogant to put my name next to some great people? Not really, they were just human beings and so am I, but please understand that I am actually much more middle-of-the-road because I find both sides (the more public services argument or the limited government argument) to both be legitimate arguments worthy of consideration and that is why I ask the question above because I think it is a question that more Progressives should ask. But as for myself, my inner stars shine brightly Progressive yet I still bear strong Libertarian stripes. This rather nationalist, flag-oriented reference may sound silly to some but it perfectly encapsulates how I see myself as a principled patriot realist doing my duty to my country and to our world.

“Of all the evils to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops every other. War is the patent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, and debts, and taxes, are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds are added to those of subduing the force of the people! No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

Although I typically shy away and generally distrust most, if not all, televised corporate media, I must admit that recently on foreign policy issues, Tucker Carlson of Fox has been tickling my fancy. Now that Fox has fired him, I encourage everyone to stop watching Fox altogether. But Tucker’s past range of guests included figures from the anti-Establishment Left and Right and many voices in between giving access and airtime to a wider audience which only helps spread our message of peace and justice to a broader audience more quickly so kudos to Tucker for that. It is good to see some of our anti-Establisment views find a venue in the public space even one decidedly more to the Right.

You can now find Tucker Carlson on Twitter, see link below. — — Great job Tucker, keep socking it to them. I hope you and your attorneys keep fighting like hell against the Establishment. I hope your attorneys fight to allow you to speak freely until at least the year 2025 and hopefully much longer than that too.

“The remedy for speech that is false is speech that is true. This is the ordinary course in a free society. The response to the unreasoned is the rational; to the uninformed, the enlightened; to the straight-out lie, the simple truth … If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence. The theory of our Constitution is that the best test of truth is the power of the thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the market . . . The First Amendment itself ensures the right to respond to speech we do not like, and for good reason. Freedom of speech and thought flows not from the beneficence of the state but from the inalienable rights of the person … Society has the right and civic duty to engage in open, dynamic, rational discourse.”
